Updated September 2026: this is the only decaffeinated coffee we roast, and it is built to the same standard as the rest of the range. The green beans are decaffeinated using the Swiss Water Process, which uses water, temperature and time rather than added chemical solvents, and then roasted in the UK. It exists for the evening mug, the second pot, the night shift wind-down and anyone cutting their caffeine without giving up proper coffee.

How our coffee is decaffeinated

Our coffee uses the Swiss Water Process. Green coffee beans are decaffeinated before roasting using water and Green Coffee Extract, with carbon filtration to remove caffeine from the extract. The process does not use added chemical solvents, which is the reason Swiss Water is the name coffee people ask for when they want decaf done properly.

Does decaf still contain caffeine?

A trace. No decaffeination process removes every last milligram, so a cup of decaf carries a small fraction of the caffeine in a normal cup rather than none at all. The half-caff move

The quiet trick decaf drinkers know: mix this bag 50/50 with any caffeinated blend to halve the dose without changing the taste or the ritual. It is how households with one strong-coffee drinker and one cutting-down drinker keep the peace, and it works with anything on our coffee strength scale.
